"Stay home" has increased more spare time for most, and social media is one of the entertainment they enjoyed more. Let us see how their online behavior has changed during the lockdown

During the lockdown, women spend most of their time cooking (85%) and chatting with others (74%), while men spend time on exercise at home (72%), and social media (75%).

54% has increased the usage of social media during the lockdown. The ratio is higher among late 20’s.

Facebook remains the most popular social network (91%), followed by Zalo. Youth spend more time for online video such as YouTube and TikTok, while the elderly spend time for Zalo. Facebook is popular regardless.

During the lockdown, Facebook has increased the most, followed by YouTube. Zalo has the mix of those who increase and decrease the usage.

Youth has increased the usage of TikTok, while elderly spend more time on Facebook and Zalo. YouTube is popular among male, while female is for Zalo.

Due to the lockdown, there is increasing demand of knowing others’ via online. Also social media is used to enjoy content of music and video.

Youth increase the usage of social media as they have more time to spare. Elderly has the demand of knowing what their friends / colleagues do via online. Also, social media is used for commerce purpose.

This survey was conducted in September 2021 with 285 male/female from 18 - 49 years old
