So what kind of face pack do they use? We had run a survey to collect their face pack products.

What has been collected to the surprise are a number of home-made face packs. In Vietnam, people prefer to have home-made face mask which is cheaper and safer (according to them). Vietnamese homemade masks are made from natural products or milk. Most popular homemade mask is from cucumber due to its various nutrition containing such as vitamin A, B1, B2, C, iron, iodine, etc. and positive effects. To illustrate, you can use cucumber mask for whitening, anti-acnes, dark circles reduction purposes. Cucumber is cheap and people can easily buy it in any local market, thus they usually have this kind of mask 3-4 times per week.

Moreover, Vietnamese ladies also use some others materials to make mask at home such as: potatoes, tomatoes, egg whites, honey, olive oil, yogurt, milk, etc. They either use those materials separately or mix them together depending on their purpose of skin care (anti acnes, whitening, etc.). Most of the materials can be found easily in any local market or supermarket and do not require lots of time to process.

Recently, there is a hot trend of using rice bran to make face mask in order to whitening skin which is very popular among the youth under 30’s. People can either make rice bran powder at home or buy it online or on Facebook or Instagram.

On the other hand, for those who are too busy to make mask at home, they usually buy face packs at any convenience stores or supermarkets. Some people who don’t even have time to go to store or too lazy to do so, they also have the option to buy it online. The most popular and reasonable-price brands for face pack are Dermal and Vedette.
