Q&Me surveyed urban Vietnamese aged 20–49 on how they see the current economy, why, and what worries them most. The survey also reveals how they would use a Tet 2027 bonus or income increase, and how this differs by age.

44% see the Vietnamese economy as good and 18% as bad; HCMC is gloomier than Hanoi.

Rising prices are the top reason for negative views (54%) and the top worry (74%).

Positive views rest on infrastructure (41%), foreign investment (39%) and tourism (36%).

Housing prices (58%), job loss (57%) and stagnant income (50%) follow rising prices as key concerns.

Saving is the top use of a Tet bonus (69%), ahead of family (44%) and healthcare (40%).

People in their 20s invest (51%) and dine out (48%) most; 40s favour family and paying off debt.
