Nowadays Vietnamese is easy to access social media (Facebook, Zalo) and get news from these modern sites than traditional information from magazine or newspaper.
Vietnamese tends to believe news on TV and the online new site even they may use social media more than official information resources.
Vietnamese believes that posts from an online news site and acquainted friends are more trustworthy than an advertisement.
In Vietnam, official news sites (baomoi.com, vnexpress.net,…) are used more often than news sites with the main image as entertainment (kenh14.vn).
Monthly access of vnnexpress.net and its trustworthiness is the highest number among online sites. While the trustworthiness of kenh14.vn is low.
This survey was conducted in Oct 2021 with 793 people of age 16 - 49 years old
