General trade is used by 96% of respondents, while 69% shop at supermarkets (including mini stores) and convenience stores. Online shopping is utilized by 35% of respondents.

Among online shoppers, Shopee is the dominant platform, followed by social media channels such as Facebook and TikTok.

With urban / rural comparison, Supermarket, online, and department store usage is higher among urban residents, while rural residents show slightly higher usage of local markets.

Among urban / rural comparision, online shopping is more prevalent in urban areas (42%) compared to rural areas (32%). However, Facebook usage is higher among rural residents.

By age, supermarket and online shopping are more popular among younger consumers, while local markets are more commonly used by the elderly.

By income, supermarket and online shopping have a higher usage ratio among higher-income groups. Additionally, higher-income consumers tend to shop at a wider variety of stores.
